2012 Monday Gypsies Closing Banquet

I must apologize, I don't think I had my camera on the right setting, it was rather dark in the hall so some of the pictures I took were too dark and blurry to add to the blog.  But I did add some of them even though they were blurry because I did not want anyone to feel left out!

The Committee for the banquet was Sandra Rowe and Carol Wilvert

The Theme for the banquet was:

The tables were set beautifully:

At the tables were:

Lana Hammond, Jeanette Wardrop, Joanne McArthur

Sorry, three beautiful gals and I did not get them in focus:  Wendy Oldershaw, Anne Marie Rochaleau,
and Sherry Wendling.

Again, not quite in focus:  Sharon Schnurr and Marg MacVinnie

                                                  Anne Sorochinsky and Carolyn Smail

                                                               Beth Almas and Lynn Douglas

                                                     Joanne Anderson and Fran McLean

Shirley Weppler, Cindy Watts and  Cherie Jackson

Pat Pascoe, Lynda Tendijowski, and Ray Quinn.

                                                        Dorothy Schan and Sharon Ife

Linda Pritchard and Shirley St. Pierre

Mary Barr, Carole Bruce and Marg Boardman

                                                                  Pat Richardson

Dinner is now over and if you had the correct object in your purse  you had to rush to the front to take part in the Lets make a deal game.  Three persons at a time, each asked separately if they would like to keep the small box that was given to them or if they would like the gift behind door 1 - 2 or 3!

There were many interesting prizes with a few zonks along the way, the chattering teeth and the plunger were the funniest,  but there were gift cards, bottles of wine and all kinds of other wonderful prizes!

Don't know what the prize was, but Kirsten Gibson thought it was very funny!  That's Sandra with her back to you with the hat on she was the Master of
Ceremonies.

Carol and her applause meter!  She also had to make sure the boxes were all filled with a prize after every draw!

Anne Sorochinsky all smiles with the prize she drew from behind one of the boxes!

Anyone who had not received a prize or anyone who had got zonked - received a prize at the end of the draws.

Marg MacVinnie with a nice bottle of wine and a line-up behind her waiting to make a deal!

These wonderful members agreed to be part of next years executive .

Before the evening was over Cherie Jackson agreed to take over the Treasurers position for next year.
Outgoing Treasurer Anne Sorochinsky.

What more could you ask for -  an evening of good food!  Good company!  And lots of laughter and fun!

2012 Away Game at Lowville

Our convenors for the away game were Ursula Whiteley and Anne Marie Rocheleau.  They were very nervous about taking on this event but did a spectacular job!  The golf game was a different format than what we are used to which always makes it interesting.  The scoring at the end of the games was very inventive - poker hands and numbers! Lots of prizes!  And a fifty-fifty draw which I won,  none of my score numbers came anywhere near making a good poker hand!  The club they chose for the event put on a very nice luncheon after our game. Everyone had a great day 9 holes and a cart.

                                                  Anne Sorochinsky and Jeanette Massicotte.

                                                    Joanne McArthur and Fran McLean

Linda Saberton, Jessie McFarland and Jeannette Wardrop

Penny Sannuto,  Jan Pearce and Anne Marie Rocheleau.

                                                         Dorothy Schan and Carol Wilvert

Marg Boardman,  Judy Kovacs and another pic of Dorothy Schan

Ray Quinn seated, Ursula Whiteley selling the 50/50 tickets, and Kirsten Gibson

Ray Quinn, Kirsten Gibson and Wendy Oldershaw

I guess some people just like to have their picture taken because here are Carol Wilvert, Ray Quinn and Kirsten Gibson again.

And here is Anne Marie giving  out prizes -  or is she still trying to figure out all those poker hands?

And Anne Marie still with that prize in her hand and Ursula is in the background still looking after the tickets for the fifty-fifty draw.

We were so lucky that the weatherman cooperated that day.  As you can see through some of the windows if you were not able to attend it is a beautiful golf course.

If I missed anyone when I was going from table to table taking pictures I do apologize!
